After this internship, Ms. Salisbury was certain she would pursue a career in Family Law. She took courses to prepare herself for this endeavor including: California Community Property, Family Law, Family Wealth Management, and a domestic violence seminar. She also gained useful experience as an advocate while interning at the Katharine and George Alexander Community Law Center, assisting low income, consumer rights clients, who had been unfairly taken advantage of by businesses. After successfully passing the July 2019 California State Bar Examination, Judge Cynthia Sevely invited Ms. Salisbury to come back to criminal court and serve as a Post-Bar Law Clerk where she supported several judges drafting complex memorandum and making recommendations on pending matters in criminal court.
Ms. Salisbury joined Hoover Krepelka, LLP in September 2020 as a Post-Bar Law Clerk while awaiting admission to the State Bar of California. In October 2020, Ms. Salisbury was promoted as an Associate Attorney.Â
In her free time, Ms. Salisbury enjoys spending time with her daughter and dog, Claudia. The family can often be found at the beach, the newest bay area restaurant, or at home, entertaining friends and family. Ms. Salisbury is also a treasure hunter and loves perusing garage sales, estate sales, and flea markets.Â
